I live in Ecuador, I'm going to be moving from Quito to the beach,
and I was wondering if anyone new anything about satellite internet
coverage in Ecuador?

I'm also looking for a satellite service provider in Ecuador. The organization I'm advising is located in the Andes in north-western Ecuador. They have a current internet budget of $100/month for land-line, and are willing to spend more than that for satellite service, but probably not very much more. They are also willing to spend some money ($3000 or less) on equipment.

Does anybody have any advice about service providers that fit those criteria? I have scanned the 'South America' forum and sent some emails, but if anyone has first-hand insight I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

Otro operador recomendable es COMSAT latinoamerica da servicio empresarial para terminales LINKSTAR e IDIRECT en Banda Ku satelite Satmex5. Y bueno si desea instalar un servicio para ISP para 100 o + pcs un operador bueno es NEW SKIES DO BRASIL con servicio en banda C. _Inclusive tienes la posiblidad de usar 2 satelites con una misma antena uno en banda Ku y el otro en Banda C. TENGA CUIDADO CON LAS CIAS VIRTUALES QUE ACTIVAN TRATE CON REPRESENTANTES DIRECTOS EN SU PAIS O EL MISMO TELEPUERTO.
