Question about Billing

Postby F9thRet » Sun Jul 18, 2010 3:50 am

Hi all, first post, long time reader here.

I recently had a death in the family, but made sure to put aside enough to pay my bill on a throw away credit card from Walmart. I went tonight to pay it, exact balance was 102.25. The card had 102.29 on it. Anyways, to make a long story short, they first tried to authorize the card for $1.00 which declined the full amount of 102.25. So I paid 101.25, and have a left over balance of $1.00 on the bill. I tried contacting them, but there billing department is closed tonight. Will they just keep the 1.00 that they used when they checked my CC, refund it immediately tomorrow, or sense the bill is due tomorrow, will they just suspend the account all together. I mean the money is there with them, and I'm a stickler for always paying my bills, so this has me worried to no end.

I tried to google soft collection hughesnet online, but couldn't find anything on there billing policy.

If anyone has some info on this, I would be most appreciative.

Thank you for your time,

Stephen
