Wildblue slow downs

When we first got the service from Wildblue it seemed so great! But a few months later it started to slow drastically around certain times of day. Those times are when I need to use the internet of coarse.

So when I called the tech support they went through a couple steps to discover what my problems were. Get this they made me tell them when I pressed go to load a page while they ...

Wildblue: Does anyone know what's going on?

Hello, we have WildBlue and are having problems.

My husband works for HP and can work from home. We live in the country and can not get DSL or Cable. We have WB satellite, and when we first got WB for about three months it was wonderful. But now when he hooks up to the HP system, his connection becomes slower then dial-up.

We have talked to all the techs at WildBlue more then once ...

WildBlue?

I currently get satellite internet from a small Starband reseller. Lately, their service has been all but satisfactory. I had looked at WildBlue before going with my current ISP, but a local dealer said that sales in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri area was not offered at the moment. My current ISP has been having problems with DNS and such that are seriously affecting my freelance web design jobs and various web projects I ...

Unlimited on Wildblue?

I am a very unhappy Direcway subscriber and recently found Wildblue. I was told by a representative from Wildblue that they have an Enterprise package that eliminates the FAP for about $100 a month. He seemed to not know a lot about it. He also said it would cost $1000 for the equipment even though it is the same gear, according to him, that the other packages use. I pay $110 for my Direcway and ...

Dry&windy TXPanhandle/Wildblue&Directway?

Trying to find high speed internet for my home near Amarillo, Texas and am just beginning "quest for the best."  Our dial-up services gives us 28,800 bps when we're lucky.

Enjoyed all the comparisons and comments/instructions you guys sent in. Got a big disappointment when our dialup/DSL co. AmaTechTel  measured our house for their antenna-type wireless internet, only to find that our wireless access was only 104 while minimum was 110.  Don't really understand what ...

Ka Band Wildblue / Telesat service reviews 2

I've had Bell Expressvu's DirecPC One-Way Satellite Internet for about 4 or 5 years due to living in an area not accessible by broadband (although a fibre line exists 1 mile away as it's route thru Northern Ontario). Anyways, DirecPC was awesome at downloading where I would always achieve 100kb and up downloads and if I used a download accelerator I would see 200kb's...now that was pure DSL/Cable however I'd eat my bandwidth limit in ...

WildBlue certification

I have been trying to decide if I should pursue Direcway or Wildblue (installer training) certification.
DSI, a major wildblue distributor, has a schedule of classes posted on their website. Yet my request for info
seem to fall on deaf ears. I guess my decision is made...

which games will work on WildBlue

I have been wondering for some time now about which games will work and which games will not. The two main games I'm worried about are Runescape and Jedi Knight II : Jedi Outcast. I've found that Runescape should work just fine, but I'm not sure about Jedi Knight II : Jedi Outcast. Any information on how well these games will work on WildBlue will really be appreciated. Also, haven't seen much about the 512K ...
