TV Distribution over 802.11 a/b/g/n, 802.16e

Hi gents, I'm aware of MMDS TV Broadcasting and IPTV systems for distributing TV programs wirelessly. However, does anybody know if it is possible to distribute TV programs over a wireless 802.11 xxxx network. I'm not talking about distributing locally as in a house, (this can be done), but commercially over the airwaves (2.4Ghz/5.8Ghz using 802.1x) akin to a commercial wireless broadband network setup?
Any Ideas? Thank you in advance!

I'm surprised this discussion topic is not more popular. I have been in the 5.8 & 2.4 Ghz wireless internet arena for the last 6 years. The technology is amazing and when installed correctly is very reliable. I also believe that this tech. or something very similar is the wave of the future. I would be interested to know what equipment people on this forum have experience with. I have used equipment from Adaptive Broadband ...

Belkin N1 Wireless with WildBlue

Hi,
I have been using WildBlue for about three months now with very good service. I recently purchased a Belkin N1 Wireless Router (F5D8231-4) to set up a wireless network in my home. I cannot get the router to recognize the modem using any of the settings offered by customer support. Has anyone tried this combination? Can anyone offer any help please? Thank you all in advance.

User capacity of a Satlink 1910 terminal

Hi,
Technical question: I have a WiFi Lan behind a single VSAT using a satlink 1910 IDU. The backhaul provider gives me 3mbps/768kbps. I've been told that the Maximum IP throughput of the 1910 is 12MB (forward 4MB-6MB/return 6MB-8MB).
What I want to determine is the number of users the 1910 can efficiently manage.
Can anybody help?

Using wireless for community access to VSAT

I am seeing increasing interest in using 802 and similar wireless techniques to allow VSAT terminals to be shared amongst a community.

Ranges of 50m - 100m are common but using masts and small higher gain antennas range of many km are being reported.

Please ask your questions here and hopefully get some answers.

Regards,
Evgeny
