In March, I will be deployed to Iraq COB Speicher as a contractor. I'd like to learn more about satellite internet pricing, bandwidth, and VOIP options available to me.
I'd like to use Vonage or Skype to communicate with family; an "internet" phone would be an alternative.
While I am not into playing on-line games, I sometimes download 4-8 GB ISO images from Microsoft TechNet as I am an IT Pro.

I am active duty soldier in need of satelite internet service in Iraq (camp Ramadi).

This is for the setup of the hughesnet satellite. I saw one of them set up
on Victory Complex and have the same satellite. I am having issues finding the
signal. Is there a tech in Baghdad, that can help me?

I'm form Iraq. I have internet cafe working by modem iDirect 3100
with two kind of LNB and BUC.

I will be deployed to northern Iraq in about 70-90 days. I am trying to research the ways to call home from Kirkuk/Mosul/Al Sulaminayah. Do I have to wait until I arrive in-country Iraq to contact service provider for services available and prices?

My son is in Iraq and his router went out. I need to know how he can get
another router and he also needs to know how he can get up two computers
