Switching to a satellite Internet provider

I had Satellite internet but switched to a wireless provider because it was
faster and cheaper. However, it has become unreliable. I was wondering if
Satellite has gotten any better in the last year.... What kind of speed can I get
now, and at what price? I really need at least 3Mb download service.

A quote on various levels of service on a HughesNet system

Could I get a quote on various levels of service on a HughesNet system using a 7000 box. Please include rates based on month to month without contracts. I may have multiple installs. I install iDirect, LinkStar, VOIP systems, etc.

The satellite internet systems will be installed near Nakusp, BC, one near Hudson Bay, SK and the rest near Fort Nelson, British Columbia.

Regards,
Gary Moore

Ka or Ku Band??? Canada

I am looking for a Satellite solution for our company. I did a little bit of research and found out, that Satellite internet does not like VPN. Here in Canada I looked at xplorenet. They offer Ka (TeleSat) and Ku band (HughesNet) services. With the Ku Band service from HughesNet I can get a DW7700 Modem, with has a "VPN Accelerator". I also read, that rain does not effect the Ku band as it does ...

Best Sat Internet Provider for Distribution

Hello. I posted a few times on here, looking to partner up with an established satellite internet company.

Basiclly I wanted to become a distributor for a company like Hughesnet/Xplorenet, this company really sucks for customer service, I wrote the main person an email over 2 weeks ago and never received a response. Wildblue, gives coverage only to Vancouver and lower mainland, but I need something with a solid Spot all over British Columbia.

Do ...

need help on what to buy for remote hosting

Hello. I want to build a wireless network at a camp I own in CANADA.

Basicly I want to have a 36 inch sattelite dish, with a proper wi-fi enabled LNB, port it into my laptop, turn my laptop into a server, and allow other people with laptops at the camp be able to tap into my network. As my camp is very remote, there is no power lines, phone, or anything, everything is generators. ...
