I have just purchased Direcway DW7000 and it has the .74 dish. I dont know if the dish matters. It came with no instructions on how to point the dish. Anyway, my nephew installs Dish Network. And he has a Bird Dog satelitte finder. Our question is - we need to get the dish pointed in the right direction. We recently re-roofed the house and removed the dish in the process. Well, we forgot to mark the original mounting holes and have no clue how to realign the dish. I really don't want to pay another $150 to have an installer come back out and set it up.

Also, we may be changing to a pole mount. Any suggestions on why type of pole to use?

Our HN7000s modem loses signal (the transmit, receive, and system lights all go out) from 11am to 4pm every day when it is sunny outside. It's been doing this for the past few weeks. I checked the modem's IP and we only have a signal strength of 29 during that time and there are red X's on the cabling/antenna pointing, uplink queuing, and sometimes the DNS acceleration columns.
