On two of my computers, the updates totaled about 70 MB, and, on the other one, they were over 60 MB. So, some might want to be watching your daily bandwidth allowance. Also, for those on crowded gateways, the demand for bandwidth ...

Hughes frequency changes 89W and 113W

Hughes has been making a lot of frequency changes, usually dropping a lease on a full transponder (30Msps) and taking a half-transponder lease (15Msps). Until now I have only been aware of them after-the-fact, but today there are two scheduled ones that have filtered down:

Is Your HN9000 Hot or Slow?

I thought I would post some picturess of a MOD I have done on my HN9000. My HN9000 ran HOT from day one, and as anyone who has worked or played with computers can tell you HEAT KILLS! You do not have to MOD your HN9000 modem to improve cooling. You can buy a small 6 inch desktop fan and direct the air onto it. I did BOTH.

I know a lot of folks have ...

Hello,

I have been trying to find W3 satellite for the last two day, using the software signal strength meter. I can get a 29. From reading on this forum I know that usually means I'm on the wrong bird. I have checked my azimuth and elevation and they seem to be spot on. I have made sure that the polarization was done at the back of the dish, the feed and LNB have 505 ...
