Please, I want to difference between CIR / EIR / Burst Priority / Queue Size and their relationships. At site which am supposed to have 64kbps dedicated, and am having cirtohub 34 and  maxbwtohub  68, is this a dedicated or sheared  service? Please, I want to know.

one way satellite as downlink, dial up as uplink

Hi guys! I am using DVB PCI card as downlink and dial up as link to server my customers. I am using wingate for this purpose. But there are some problems with wingate.

vsat speed test sites

I would like some feed back on what everyone wants for reliable speed test sites for VSAT.

I've entered into a project with a speed test software company very early this year. I used their product to test high speed 512/2mb Hughes net VAR service as well as 384/1Mb iDirect. How many years left to Ku-Band Service????

Hello all! I'm thinking of getting either SB or HN. I must have Ku, as with Ka one can't extend the fringe reception much at all.
But my question is: with Ka getting faster and cheaper, how much longer will the Ku services remain "on"?
And the other question is: of SB and HN, which is likely to die last?

power use ?

Does anyone know how much watts of power a satellite internet modem needs ?
I don`t mean the computer, just the modem I don`t have hydro, just solar power

Sat finder or spectrum analyzer?

Hello all. It's my first post and I'm new on satellite universe. I'm close to buy a system to have movil internet, moving all days to work with.

In my country, Uruguay, the only seller of products and satelite services is Antel (national telephone enterprise) They have an agreement with Hispasat satelites, so no choice.
