Dust on dish ! low signal ?

My Vsat dish seems to be collection a thick layer of dust. Can this affect good signal reception?

LO frequency mismatch

Hi all,
I have a problem and need all of you to give me an advice.

If the feedhorn LO frequency does not match with the LO frequency in satellite receiver, can satellite receiver receive the signal? How to overcome this problem? Thanks.

Setup internet satellite for Laptops on Windows XP

How do we setup internet satellite for Laptops on Windows XP. Its already working in my laptop but when I try to hookup my sister's laptop it is not working. I didn't find any difference on configuration settings in both systems. But still she can't browse. Do I need to install additional software or driver or download some files to make it work?

Two Way Satellite Internet - Self Install

Anyone know of any ISP's that provide two way Internet that will allow self-installs? My home is in America (Florida) however I am currently stationed in Guantanamo Bay (GTMO), Cuba which limits who can come and do an installation. Any advice on a two way provider that will allow a self install is appreciated.

VOIP/Satellite service providers

I was getting VOIP over Starband Satellite using ht486. It worked good until last Friday when Sun-Isp had a fire and their mainframe and servers burned up in a fire.

Where can I find a Voip over Satellite service provider? I already have Starband Nova Pro and a ht486 modem.
