For background reading here is a review about satcoms and Africa: http://www.satsig.net/gispa-afrispa.htm

The University of Surrey have done well developing ideas and building small low orbit satellites. http://www.ee.surrey.ac.uk/SSC/CSER/UOSAT/profile.html

For TV, phone and internet access, consider a simple general purpose geostationary satellite, with a single steerable spot beam, if you want to get satellite costs down.  Alternatively, get a long term lease of several transponders on say INTELSAT 907 spot beam: http://www.satsig.net/is907spot.gif (see also page http://www.satsig.net/ivsat-africa.htm )

If you want web space to publicise your project you are welcome to send text and diagrams/images to me and you can have some pages on this web site.

Good luck. Eric

Hi,
Could you email me your price quote. I am setting up an Internet/VOIP service in Nigeria and I need to  who who offers best connection at affordable rate.

Also my office is in a very remote town near Oweeri in Imo-State, Nigeria. Do you think your company can provide service in that area?

Thanx
Mohumba
