I can't offer any reward but I would like someone to work out how to receive say ABC, NBC, CBS, BBC radio and TV at the VSAT hub (once) and then convert this into multi-destination IP packets so that the information is only ever sent once over the satellite.  It is far too expensive to have individual terminals receiving individually addressed packets since each terminal will have to pay for the full quantity of data transmitted.

If everyone on the VSAT network receives the data by default and perhaps 20 view it then the cost per viewer is 20 times less. A proxy radio/TV server at the hub perhaps? Ideas please?

A client of us is working on a stream with 4 channels from Europe, put there into DSL and via a downlink with a satellite system, from where they distribute the 4 signals via WiFi to their clients, who can see those channels on an IPTV box.

It is a bit tricky, but if it works, i will give the details, because where 4 channels are possible, more is possible as well.

BTW it seems that there is some PPV BOOB IPTV, but i could not find it (yet).
