Configuring Wildblue satellite internet

Postby GgB » Wed Apr 25, 2007 4:07 am

I'm having problems configuring ePrompter to work pull down my emails from the WildBlue satellite internet service (i.e. wildblue.net). I've tried POP3 but got back the following errors: "Cannot find SMTP/POP3 Server" and "POP3 returned error. -ERR Authentication failed."

I've called their support services and Googled for any direction but their support can't help with this third party program and googling led me far from my concerns.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

EPromoter setup on Wild blue satellite internet

The setup should be the same as your POP3 email client (ie Outlook). POP3 is standard so ePrompter is not really a third party application. It just checks the servers for email.

When you setup ePrompter as POP3 you need to enter both POP3 Server and SMTP server.

There is also a setting under SMTP for authentication, but I'd start with a standard setup first.

Is this your only ISP connection? I ask because if you have another it could cause problems with SMTP servers.
