We have installed Linkstar systems in Nigeria and other African countries with great satisfaction of our customers and the connectivity is very good during all the day/night, also under tropical rains.
I think one time the problem was C-band or Ku-band, but today the problem is just to give the service trough the best satellite able to guarantee best coverage and performance on the area, and also to use the correct equipment.

I agree.   Both C band and Ku band systems can provide high availability service.  The link budget margins on C band systems are less but so is the rain fade depth.   Just get the design and equipment installation right (particularly the cable connectors and dish pointing) and you can get a good service either way, C or Ku band. Best regards, Alex.
